For our next assignment we had to take what we learned from the first homework and create a Minecraft inspired level in UE4. We were required to create our own textures for the cubes and to try and push our creativity. For mine I decided to make a floating castle-like structure. I was inspired by the game
Monument Valley, which has a fantastic style and art direction.

The finished level:
Overall this assignment took me about 8.5 hours. 1 hour was spent watching the tutorial videos, 30 minutes were spent UVing and making the cube, another hour was spent making the textures, the assembling took about 5 hours, and about 30 minutes spent saving screenshots, resizing images, and creating this blog post.
So good!!!!
