2D Week 11: Group Project Concept Round 01 (Thumbnails) - Team Tinman

For this week we are continuing to iterate on the Wizard of Oz project. We focused on concepting the environment and character via thumbnails. We also added and adjusted set dressing and got interactivity added to our test scene.

Team Members:
Will Perez-Valines
Boo Roseman
Kay Ghering
Yan Chen
Connor Hollis

William

Will did our character thumbnails and assisted with the environment thumbnails. He also helped with layout, templates, and organization type stuff etc.

Leah

I did the environment thumbnails with help from Will, adjusted the terrain on our level to have hills, adjusted some set dressing, mocked up a quick proxy leaf for Yan to test as a particle effect, and did a paintover our newly added Tinman house that Connor modeled.

Boo

Boo created an awesome idle animation of our Tinman after Kay rigged it and they both worked together to get it integrated into our test scene.

Connor

Connor worked on modeling a bunch of stuff for us this week in 3D. He mocked up a rough house for us in Zbrush on Friday that I painted over to help flesh out more. He also modeled a basket and oil can for more set dressing. After that he went back to the facetree from last week and cleaned it up, added more geo, and added cards for leaves.

Kay

Kay worked rigging the Tinman and integrating the animation from Boo into our scene. She also made it so our objects in our scene are grab-able and interactive to the player (we demonstrated this in class). She also made an illustration of our environment in class on Friday.

Yan

For this week Yan went and iterated on her particles from last week and swapped them with the leaf texture I created. She also tweaked the god ray, created a fog particle, adjusted the set dressing, added the yellow brick road, created a blue print to ad our meshes in a linear way (like the fence), and created an illustration of our environment.
